Catherine & Hera
Catherine Vade Bon Coeur and Hera
PINEMEADE HERA BEAR Hera is a tricolor Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She was born August 9, 2004. I have had her since she was 10 weeks old.
Hera went to puppy classes at Petsmart. I was interested in doing more with Hera, so we started doing advanced obedience. Hera wasn’t really interested in that, so I asked one of the trainers at Petsmart, Leah, who she would recommend for agility. She told me about Performance Dogs In Action and Nola Jones.
Hera and I started private agility lessons with Nola in July of 2005. Hera loves agility, and, like all the rest of the dogs, loves Nola. After about 6 months, at the recommendation of Nola, we switched to agility classes. Under Nola’s training, Hera excelled at agility.
The following winter, February of 2006, I left Hera at Nola’s for a couple of weeks while I was on vacation. Nola and I had decided to start Hera in herding sheep. But it was raining cats and dogs – no pun intended – and Nola started Hera on ducks instead, because it was so swamped everywhere on the property, the only dry ground was the duck pen.

Since then Hera has titled in AHBA HCT and HT and AKC PT in sheep; has one qualifying run in AKC Started Sheep, has titled in AHBA Started Geese, and has titled in Select – Beginner Standard in agility. None of this would have been possible without Nola Jones and her amazing training ability.
Hera thanks her, and so do I, Catherine Vade Bon Coeur,
Heras mommy, and that is MY proudest title.
