Linda & Shelby

Linda Luttrell & Shelby

My name is Linda Luttrell and I am a proud owner of a papillon named Shelby. Since she was a 3 months old, I knew I wanted to learn agility with her. She had so much energy. I felt she needed a physical and fun outlet to harness her high energy. It wasn’t too much longer when I met Nola of Performance Dogs in Action. I found Nola’s website a haven for both pet and owner to explore the fun offered in her classes, special events and trials. I began taking weekly, private agility lessons in February 2006 when Shelby was 10 months old. Through Nola’s training, I grew to have a deeper understanding of the relationship between and dog and owner. Agility has strengthened my bond with Shelby, both in the arena and at home. We are learning a different manner of communication. She has become so much more obedient and loyal.

My choice in becoming a student at Performance Dogs in Action is directly related to Nola Jones and her no-nonsense approach to dog training. The first time I met her, she came with 5 of her border collies in tow. Controlled not by a leash, but by body language and voice control only! I was sold! Her level of patience, experience and dedication even to the most challenging dog never ceases to amaze me. The proof is in the dog! Shelby loves Nola, and all of the many dogs around. Nola’s area is one of well-behaved dogs and responsible pet owners looking to have fun in a relaxing atmosphere.
