Rusty Jeffers, Herding Instructor
Rusty Jeffers entered his first stockdog trial in 1999 and has been
actively competing in the sport ever since. He has won numerous High
in Trial awards and earned multiple advanced titles and championships
in AHBA, ASCA and AKC as well as successfully competing in open USBCHA
trials.
He is the current president of the Northern California Working
Sheepdog Association, a non-profit group who sponsors stockdog trials
in California.
Rusty began judging stockdog trials in 2004. He has judged AHBA, AKC
and USBCHA events. "I enjoy judging and participating in AHBA and the
other all-breed herding events. It's fascinating to see all the
different breeds developed to control livestock and the differences
and similarities in how they do the job".
Rusty lives with his wife, 7 border collies and a flock of sheep in
the delta region of northern California.
